Janey Shaddrick
Dog Trainer, Pet Sitter
Janey Shaddrick has been teaching people to train dogs for over two decades. She taught classes at the Twin Cities Obedience Training Club and served as their President for five of those years. She has also worked with Hearing and Service Dogs of Minnesota and Paws for People, two service dog organizations, as well as Beck and Call Dog Training, Cloud Nine Training for Dogs, 4H, and the 3M Dog Training Club (Shoreview, MN).
Through her other business, Dog Training Seminars, Janey put on seminars to educate dog trainers from around the United States and Canada. She is also a member of the Minnesota Trainer’s Roundtable and spent much of the last 15 years as the representative for MN Newfoundland Rescue.
Janey values continuing education and has recently added two certifications. In March of 2016 she passed her CPDT-KA (Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers knowledge assessed certification) and in April of 2017 she completed the Karen Pryor Academy's Dog Training Professional Program and is now a KPA Certified Training Partner (KPA-CTP).
She currently has a hobby farm where she and her dogs reside along with their cats, 1 1/2 horses, chickens, geese, mice, an emu, and some snakes.
Caitlin Shaddrick
Dog Trainer, Pet Sitter
Caitlin has had a love for animals since the very beginning. She grew up caring for the many creatures on her family’s hobby farm, including horses, llamas, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, cats, dogs, snakes, and chinchillas. In 2008 she took that passion and put it to work for her by beginning to care for pets professionally as a pet sitter. Through her clients, she has broadened her pet care experience to include cows, goats, sheep, pigs, parrots, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, turtles, bearded dragons, and fish. She finds that her favorite clients are generally hobby farms, both for the infinite variety that provide and satisfaction she finds in providing an important, reliable service to farmers who are often unable to travel due to responsibilities at home.
While Caitlin has been attending dog training class since she was very young, it was not until merging her business with Rogues and Rascals, that she started to take a bigger role in dog training. She actively co-teaches several nights a week and teaches solo on Tuesday evenings. She especially enjoys helping her students reach their end goals while building stronger relationships with their dogs. In addition to teaching, Caitlin handles much of the email and social media for Rogues and Rascals.
Caitlin is an AKC Certified Tester for CGC and Trick Dog Tests and is Pet First Aid/CPR certified. She is a member of the Newfoundland Club of America, Northstar Newfoundland Club, and is a Supporting Member of the IAABC.
